Dr. Ashley Emanuele - Veterinarian

Ashley Emanuele graduated with a degree in Marine Biology from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, before transplanting to North Carolina.

Once in the south, she worked as an aquatics curator at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences before attending NC State's College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, Dr. E spent five years in exotics-exclusive private practice and became North Carolina's first Certified Aquatic Veterinarian. In 2024, she became a board specialist of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Fish Practice, one of only 16 veterinarians with this distinction in the world. Dr. Emanuele is a past President of the American Association of Fish Veterinarians, a member of the AVMA Aquatic Veterinary Medicine Committee, and a frequent speaker at veterinary conferences. She loves every nontraditional pet that passes through her exam room regardless of whether it slithers, hops, swims, or flies in.

In her spare time, Dr. Emanuele enjoys going on adventures with her partner, talking to her chickens, reading with her kids, camping, and being a Cub Scout leader.
